Beat Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Beat with an electric engine experienced a complete audio system failure, with no sound output despite the head unit powering on. The issue was suspected to be a defective display, as there were no blown fuses or static noise. After professional inspection, replacing the defective display resolved the audio problem.

The head unit does power on, but no sound comes out. And no, there's no static. Just complete silence. Given that, does that still sound like a head unit issue to you?

Yep, that sounds exactly like what I experienced. The display was defective. Given the potential repair costs of 725€, have you considered going to the workshop to get the issue inspected by a professional?

Thanks for the insight. I appreciate the advice. After inspecting the electrical system and confirming no blown fuses, I took it to a workshop. It seems the display was defective as you predicted. Replacing that fixed the audio problem.

I had a similar issue with my Beat, though I've got the petrol engine. Does the head unit power on at all? Any static noise from the speakers? I'm wondering if the display is at fault, or is it simply a blown fuse.
