Beat blower motor failure
Summary of the thread
A Chevrolet Beat owner is experiencing a blower motor failure, with the motor being silent and an error code present. Possible causes include a defective blower motor or a faulty blower motor resistor pack, which controls fan speed. Suggested solutions involve checking the fuse and potentially replacing the blower motor or resistor pack, with a recommendation to visit a workshop for further diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the insight! A resistor pack... interesting. No, I haven't checked the fuse yet, but I'll look into that now. Where's the resistor pack typically located? Is it difficult to access?

On the Peugeot, it was near the blower motor, under the dash on the passenger side. Not easy to get to, had to contort myself. But if the fuse is okay, you're getting an error code, and the blower motor doesn't even twitch, it's probably the motor itself. Time for a workshop visit, I guess. The cost was about 365€ including labor.

Okay, I understand. Thank you very much for your help and sharing your experience! I'll take it to the workshop and have the blower motor checked. Seems like I have no choice...

That sucks! I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 207. The heater fan quit. Turns out, it was the blower motor resistor pack. It controls the fan speed, and when it goes, the fan usually only works on high or not at all. But since yours isn't working at all, maybe it is the motor. Have you checked the fuse?
