Berlingo electric power steering fault

I've got a 2014 Citroen Berlingo electric with 95300 km on the clock. Recently, the power steering's gone wonky. The steering wheel vibrates, the handling's spongy, and there's an error code. Steering is also much harder, feels like the power steering assist just disappears sometimes. I've checked for obvious hydraulic fluid leaks (it's electric, so none), and the wheel alignment seems okay. Any ideas?

I had something similar on my Berlingo. Check the cable and plug connections to the power steering component. Could be a defective connection.

Okay, thanks. Was it a specific cable or plug, or just a general check of all connections in the steering system?

I'd suggest checking them all, but in my case, it was the main power connector to the steering pump that was loose. Still, get it looked at by a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was a dodgy connector as you suggested. Workshop charged 95€ to sort it. Appreciate the help!
