Berlingo rough running stalling

I've got a 2019 Citroen Berlingo, gasoline engine, only 31886 km on the clock. Lately, it's been running rough – higher fuel consumption than usual, noticeable power loss, and the engine has even stalled a couple of times when idling. Plus, a puff of smoke comes out when I accelerate. I suspect the injection system. I've checked a few basic things, but could it be a defective cable or plug connection of the component? Anyone else experienced this?

Sounds familiar! I own a Berlingo too, had similar symptoms not long ago. Have you checked the fuel injectors themselves? They can get clogged up pretty easily.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'similar symptoms', do you mean the stalling, the smoke AND the fuel consumption? Was it also the injection system? How did you diagnose it?

Yes, all the symptoms you mentioned. I didn't diagnose it myself, frankly. I took it straight to a workshop. They ran some tests and confirmed it was an issue with the injection system.

Alright, that's the confirmation I needed. Looks like a trip to the workshop is unavoidable. Turns out it was indeed the cable connection of the component. Cost me 95€, but at least it's running smoothly now. Thanks for the help!
