Bipper Automatic Transmission Issue

My 2011 Peugeot Bipper with a gasoline engine is giving me some serious headaches. The check engine light and transmission indicator light are both on. It feels like the gearbox slips, shifts uncleanly and makes grinding noises when shifting. I scanned it and there's an error stored in the memory. Could it be the automatic transmission torque converter lock-up clutch? Anyone experienced similar?

I had similar symptoms on my Bipper. Does it feel like an engine surge sometimes, almost like it wants to stall? The error codes pointed towards issues with the auto transmission too.

Engine surge? Yeah, kinda! Especially at lower speeds. What was the damage? Was it definitely the torque converter?

The symptoms and error codes do sound like the torque converter lock-up clutch is defective. Given the grinding and slipping, I'd say it's highly probable. I recommend getting it checked at a reputable workshop. Continuing to drive it like this can cause more damage.

Thanks for the confirmation. Took it to the shop and you were spot on. The automatic transmission converter was indeed defective, costing me 2120€ to repair. Ouch!
