Bipper rail pressure sensor fault

My 2008 Peugeot Bipper, gasoline engine, with 181064 km is having issues. The check engine light comes on sometimes, the engine stalls at idle, and power is down. Diagnostics say it's the rail pressure sensor signal. A bad pressure sensor seems likely. Anyone else seen this on their Peugeot?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Peugeot Partner. Check engine light was on all the time, and it was idling rough. Is it the fuel rail pressure sensor? Because that's what it was on my van. Same symptoms.

Thanks! Yes, the error code points to the rail pressure sensor signal. Was it a straightforward fix for you? Did you replace the sensor yourself, or did you take it to a mechanic?

I didn't touch it myself, to be honest. Electrics are not my thing. I'd recommend a workshop; these sensors can be tricky, and you don't want to mess up the fuel injection. My mechanic did it in an hour, so hopefully it's the same for you.

Much appreciated, that's reassuring! I'll take it to a trusted workshop. It appears the pressure sensor was indeed defective, and the repair, including parts and labor, totaled 240€. Thanks again for confirming that I was on the right track!
