A dodgy connection, huh? Where exactly was the connection bad on your Outback? And did you try a new fuel filter before that?

Yeah, on my Outback it was a cable and plug connection causing all the trouble. To be honest, I just took it to a workshop. I saw the error in the error memory and they found it after a bit of looking around. Cost me around 95€ to fix and the error message was gone. I didn't even bother with the fuel filter or additives myself.

Sounds like I'll be checking the connections first, and then probably heading to the workshop if I can't find anything. Appreciate the help!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Subaru Outback. The check engine light was on and engine was stalling too. It ended up being a dodgy connection somewhere. Have you checked the fuel filter or thought about using fuel additives?
