BMAX Central Locking Failure

Hey, my 2013 Ford BMAX diesel has a weird problem. The central locking isn't working anymore. Could it be a fuse, or is it a bigger electrical issue, maybe in the door latches?

Funny you should mention that, I had the same thing happen with my 2016 Opel Astra a few months ago. The automatic locks just quit. Did it start after any electrical work or bad weather? I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out if it was a faulty car sensor.

That's interesting. No recent electrical work or bad weather here. What was the problem with your Astra, and how did you fix it?

After a lot of messing around, the shop found a bad cable or plug connection to the door contact signal. The Astra's door latch had a similar problem. I'd get the Ford's door wiring checked, especially the connectors. Could be corrosion or a loose connection, but it's probably best to let a professional handle it.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It turned out the BMAX had a defective cable or plug connection to the door contact signal, just like you said. The repair was 95€.
