Manifold pressure, huh? I'll check that. Where exactly should I be looking for scorching? Is there a specific spot on the intake manifold that usually goes bad? I really hope it is just a leak and not something worse.

Yeah, mine ended up being a cracked intake manifold from scorching. Honestly, I couldn't pinpoint the exact spot myself, too many hoses and stuff in the way. I'd say best bet is to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. At least you'll know for sure!

Thanks a lot for the heads-up! I was dreading taking it in, but you're right, probably better to get it sorted properly. Turns out it WAS the intake manifold, leaking like crazy from being scorched. Ended up costing me 1180€ to get it fixed, ouch! But at least it’s running smooth again. Cheers!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the SAME thing happen on my BMAX! Reduced power, check engine light... I think the manifold pressure was off, and occasionally it felt like an engine misfire. Did you check the manifold itself for any signs of damage or scorching?
