BMW 1: Is DPF initialization possible in the app?

I own a BMW 1, model year 2013, with a diesel engine and a mileage of 389,000 km. The check engine light is on, and I'm having trouble finding a way in the app to re-initialize the cleaned DPF in the control unit. Is this even possible with the Pro version and in which menu is this function hidden? Or is it a function in Smart Mechanic? Thank you for your help!

To re-initialize the cleaned DPF in your BMW's control unit, you typically need a diagnostic tool that supports DPF regeneration and reset functions. Check if your app has a "Service" or "Maintenance" menu where you might find options related to DPF. If it's not available, you may need a more advanced diagnostic tool or software. Make sure to follow the app's instructions carefully. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any updates.

I have the Carly adapter from 2019 according to the sticker. It seems to have many functions, but the required DPF reset function seems to be missing from the software.

If the DPF reset function is not available in your current app version, you might need to use a more advanced diagnostic tool or visit a professional mechanic who can perform the reset for you. It's important to ensure the DPF is properly reset to avoid potential engine issues. Let me know if you have any further questions or updates on your progress.

So, that means the software doesn't even allow a reset or reinitialization of the DPF on common BMW models? Many other diagnostic apps offer this function according to blogs. If this had been clear before the purchase, I could have saved my money. Unfortunately, too much is promised. :-(

Consider trying another diagnostic app that specifically mentions DPF reset capabilities for BMW models. Alternatively, visiting a professional mechanic with the right tools might be the quickest solution. Let me know if you need more guidance or have any updates.
