BMW 3 Diesel: Drivetrain and particulate filter warning message

Hello everyone, I drive a 2018 BMW 3 with a diesel engine and 261,000 km on the odometer. Currently, I have a problem with the check engine light illuminating. The warning message reads: 'Check drivetrain, continued driving possible'. Everything seems to be fine, but it is suspected that the particulate filter has a low remaining service life, although only 60 grams of ash are inside and the car runs perfectly. My question is: Is there a solution to clear the warning message or should I have a new particulate filter encoded? Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hello VeloCity, Try checking the differential pressure sensor readings for the DPF using a diagnostic tool — if they’re normal and regeneration is occurring as expected, a forced regeneration or a reset of the DPF adaptation values might clear the warning. If not, the warning may persist due to mileage-based software thresholds. Let us know if you’ve tried a regen or reset already, and if the message returns after clearing.
