BMW 4 Series Convertible problems with misfiring for some time now

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my BMW 4 Series (built in 2017, gasoline engine). For some time now, it has been showing the following symptoms: black smoke from the exhaust when accelerating, check engine light on, loss of power, unsteady engine, jerking when accelerating, starting problems, high fuel consumption, stalling at idle and shaking at idle. I suspect it could be due to defective ignition coils or misfiring. Has anyone had similar experiences? How did the workshop fix this? I would appreciate any tips and your experiences. Thank you!

Engine fault: The engine warning light comes on when the vehicle is heavily loaded, particularly in Sport+ mode. The engine then goes into downgraded mode, the fans activate strongly and a significant shudder is felt. This is a recurring problem, even at speeds below 180 km/h. The following message appears: "Motor fault! Loss of power". For info: new coils and spark plugs

If your BMW is stalling at idle even after changing the fuel pump, it could be due to a variety of issues. It could be a problem with the idle air control valve, a vacuum leak, or even a faulty sensor. I would recommend starting with checking the idle air control valve and looking for any signs of a vacuum leak. If these checks do not reveal the problem, it may be best to have a mechanic inspect your vehicle.

My BMW 335i 2008 year shows the error message cylinder 1 and cylinder 2. All spark plugs and ignition coils have been changed. It is still not good. At cold start (not always) it twitches a lot and shakes. Then the revs jump around between 0 and 1000. Then the engine light comes on but then goes out again. What could this be?

Hello, Your car should be the so-called "N54" engine. These engines are very susceptible to defective injectors. These injectors have what is known as an index (construction stage evolution); if, for example, index 01-10 is still installed in your engine, it is very possible that the injectors themselves are defective. The whole thing can be checked via a "failure detection" with the original BMW diagnostic device.
