They diagnosed it right away, exactly what you said, a faulty microphone unit. They ordered the part and got it fixed in about three days. The bill came to around 780, pretty close to what you paid. While it wasn't cheap, the hands-free system is working perfectly now. Making calls is crystal clear again, and the voice commands are responding like new. Such a relief to have it working properly!
