Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful to know about the battery connection, I wouldn't have thought that could be causing my window issues. Glad you got it sorted out. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole thing? Also, has everything been working smoothly since the battery replacement, or have you noticed any other quirks?

Hey again! Happy to give you an update. Since getting my iX3 fixed, it's been running like a dream. The window regulator initialization issue completely disappeared after they sorted out the battery situation. Cost me 290 € for the whole thing, battery replacement and reprogramming included. Honestly, it was worth every penny. Haven't noticed a single electrical quirk since then, all the windows work perfectly, and the car's electrical systems are running smoothly. It's amazing how one failing component can cause such weird issues in these high-tech vehicles! Trust me, if you're experiencing similar symptoms, don't wait around like I initially did. These modern BMWs are fantastic but they really need proper maintenance, especially when it comes to their electrical systems. The certified BMW tech I went to really knew their stuff, made me feel much more confident about the whole repair process.

I took your advice and finally got my BMW i5 checked out. You were spot on, it turned out to be battery-related! Found a specialized EV mechanic who really knew their stuff. The whole experience was actually much better than I expected. Got it fixed yesterday and it cost around 310 € total. The mechanic explained everything clearly, apparently, these new electric models are super sensitive to battery health. They had to replace the battery and reprogram some systems, but it was worth it. The windows are working perfectly now, and they even caught a few other small issues I hadn't noticed. Funny how I was so worried about going to a mechanic after my last bad experience, but this time it was completely different. Sometimes you just need to find the right mechanic for the job. Thanks again for pushing me to get it checked out, you saved me from what could've become a bigger headache!

Hey there! I actually had a similar issue with my 2021 BMW iX3. The power windows stopped working along with some electrical glitches. Initially thought it was just the window regulator, but when I took it to the garage last month, it turned out the battery was severely depleted and needed replacement. These electric BMWs are sensitive to battery health, it's not just about starting the car anymore. In my case, the old battery wasn't holding charge properly, which affected multiple electrical systems including the windows. The replacement job wasn't particularly complex but required specific programming to sync with the car's computer. Since your car's showing an error code, I'd suggest getting it checked by a certified BMW technician. After my experience, I learned these symptoms shouldn't be ignored as they can indicate more serious electrical system issues. The repair itself took about 2 hours, including the programming. If you're worried about mechanic experiences, try finding a BMW specialist who specifically works with electric vehicles. They'll know these systems better than general mechanics.
