BMW M2 Headlight Range Control Failure Solutions

Hey everyone! Anyone dealt with headlight range control issues on a 2017 M2? My warning light's on, got an error code stored, and the low beams are misaligned. Got burned by my last mechanic, so I'm pretty hesitant about going back. Would really appreciate hearing your experiences with similar problems and recommendations for getting it fixed properly. Car details: 2017 BMW M2 Gas engine 124,357 km Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for sharing your experience with the M4! Really helpful to know it was the servomotor, sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Can't remember if you mentioned how much the repair set you back? And has everything stayed solid since the fix, or have you noticed any other electrical gremlins popping up? Trying to budget for this and want to make sure I'm not missing any potential follow-up issues.

Just wanted to follow up, finally got the headlight issue sorted! Took it to a BMW specialist shop that another recommended. The mechanic was super thorough and found exactly what we suspected, faulty servomotor. Got it replaced and realigned same day. Bill came to around 950 €, bit better than I expected after hearing your cost. The best part? No more warning lights, and my low beams are perfectly aligned now. What a relief! Night driving feels so much better. The mechanic actually showed me the old servomotor, thing was completely shot. Glad I didn't wait any longer to get it fixed. Thanks again for sharing your experience, really helped me know what to expect and gave me confidence to get it sorted properly. Definitely keeping this shop's number for future repairs!
