BMW M3 Warning Lights: Multiple System Error Messages?

Thanks for your input! Also dealing with warning messages on my M3, currently at 182444 KM and just had its service last month. Initially thought it might be related to the recent service, but these messages started popping up out of nowhere while driving. Haven't done any battery work or other repairs lately. The weird thing is the messages are inconsistent, sometimes they show up at startup, other times while I'm cruising. Definitely getting more concerned since it's happening more frequently now. Might take your advice and have someone check the control modules programming.

Hey there again! Thanks for the additional details about your M3. You know, after dealing with similar issues on my M5, what you're describing sounds really familiar, especially the unusual timing of those warnings. When my M5 started acting up like that, I initially thought I could just clear the codes and be done with it. But those inconsistent messages are exactly what tipped off my mechanic to dig deeper into the control module programming. The fact that yours is happening more frequently now, just like mine did, makes me think even more that it could be the same programming issue. Since you mentioned you just had service done last month, I'd definitely bring this up with your service center. They might want to check if any of the work they did could have triggered these warnings. In my case, it turned out that even though there wasn't any recent battery work, the control modules just needed a proper sync and reprogram to get everything talking correctly again. Quick question, are you noticing any other quirks besides the warning messages? Like maybe weird behavior from your infotainment system or any slight hesitation? Just trying to compare notes since our situations seem pretty similar. Let me know how it goes if you get it checked out. I'm really curious if it turns out to be the same programming issue I had with my M5!

Thanks so much for that detailed response! Yeah, now that you mention it, I've noticed the infotainment system occasionally freezes for a few seconds, especially when switching between different menus. The car itself runs fine though, no hesitation or performance issues that I can tell. You've definitely given me more confidence about what might be causing this. I'll call my service center tomorrow and explain what's happening. I'll make sure to mention the programming issue you had with your M5, seems too similar to be just coincidence. Really hoping it's just a control module thing and not something more serious. Thanks again for sharing your experience! It's super helpful to hear from someone who's dealt with similar issues. I'll update once I find out what's actually causing these warnings. These BMWs can be tricky sometimes, but still love driving my M3!

Hey! I have some experience working on BMWs. I had a similar issue with my 2013 BMW M5, and I also own a BMW M4. Those error messages can be super annoying! I took my car to the workshop because of multiple warning messages popping up everywhere. Turned out it was a coding issue where the vehicle's computer systems weren't properly synchronized. The mechanic had to reprogram the control modules, cost me around 360 Euro but fixed all those annoying warnings. What's the exact error message you're getting? Also, have you had any recent work done on the car or battery replacement? Would help to know if you're seeing any specific warning lights or if the messages appear only when starting the car.
