Thanks for sharing your experience! My X2 has 151305 KM on the clock, and this started happening when the engine was already warm, usually after about 15-20 minutes of driving. Haven't scanned for codes yet, but I'm planning to do that tomorrow morning at the workshop. I just had my regular service done last month, and everything was fine until now. Your experience with the pedal module is really helpful, I'll definitely mention this to my mechanic when I take it in. Kind of hoping it's just that and not something more serious!

Hey again! After reading about your mileage and when the issue occurs, I'm even more convinced it could be similar to what I experienced with my X1. The timing of when it happens, after the engine is warm, is exactly like what I went through. The fact that you just had your service done and then this started happening is interesting. My pedal module actually started acting up shortly after a service too. I remember my mechanic mentioning that sometimes these electronic components can be a bit sensitive to any changes in the system. Since you're getting it scanned tomorrow, look out for codes P2138 or P2110, these were the ones I got when my pedal module was failing. Just a heads up, my mechanic initially thought it was the throttle valve too, but the diagnostic scan pointed to the pedal module. Really good call on getting it checked quickly. These BMWs don't like being driven too long in limp mode, learned that the hard way with mine! Let us know what the scan shows. I'm curious if it's the same issue I had. Fingers crossed it's just the pedal module, way better than dealing with throttle valve problems, both for your wallet and repair time!

Thanks so much for all this detailed info! Those specific error codes are super helpful, I've written them down to discuss with my mechanic tomorrow. I'm actually feeling a bit more optimistic now knowing your X1 had such a similar issue that was fixed with just a pedal module replacement. You're right about the timing being similar too, both happening after service. That's really interesting! I've been worried sick thinking it might be something major, but hearing about your experience has definitely calmed my nerves a bit. I'll definitely post an update once I get the scan results tomorrow. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and all these details. It's exactly the kind of firsthand knowledge I was hoping to get when I posted here. Let's hope it's just the pedal module like yours was!

Hey there! I have some experience working on cars, and I had almost the exact same issue with my 2019 BMW X1 last summer. The symptoms were identical, drop in power, high idle, and limp mode. Super frustrating! Took it to my regular workshop, and it turned out the accelerator pedal module was failing. The electronics inside were toast. After replacing the module (cost me around 265 Euro for parts and labor), the car's been running perfectly. Before we jump to conclusions though, could you share: How many miles/kilometers on your X2? Does this happen when the engine is cold or warm? Have you scanned for error codes? I'd love to help more since I've been through this with my Beemer. If you share those details, I can give you more specific advice based on what I learned from my experience.
