Thanks for sharing your experience! Mine's got 37198 KM on the clock, and I just had it serviced last month. The warning started popping up about a week ago, and interestingly, it's always the front right tire that triggers it. I've checked the pressure manually and it seems fine, so your sensor battery theory makes a lot of sense. I'm glad you mentioned the cost, helps me budget for the repair. Will probably get it checked out soon since these warnings are getting pretty annoying. Did your mechanic have to order the part specially, or was it something they had in stock?

Hey again! Good to hear back from you. Yeah, that sounds exactly like what I dealt with on my X1. When you mentioned it's consistently showing the front right tire, that's a dead giveaway, just like mine was! With your mileage and the fact that you've confirmed the actual pressure is fine, I'm even more convinced it's the sensor battery. About the parts, in my case, they had to order it. Took about 2-3 days to arrive. I remember being a bit impatient because those constant warnings were driving me nuts! One thing I forgot to mention in my first reply, make sure they check the sensor itself while they're at it. Sometimes these sensors can get damaged or corroded, not just the battery dying. Since you've got an X2 that's a couple years newer than my X1, you might have a slightly different sensor type, but the principle is the same. The good thing is, once it's fixed, it's usually good for several years. Mine's been working perfectly since the replacement. By the way, has your warning been constant, or does it sometimes disappear and come back? Just curious because mine used to do this weird thing where it would go away after driving for a while, then come back the next morning.

Thanks so much for all this detailed info! Actually, yes, mine does exactly that thing you mentioned about disappearing and coming back! It usually goes away after I've been driving for about 15 minutes, then sure enough, it's back the next morning when I start the car. That's really reassuring to know you experienced the same pattern. I'll call my mechanic tomorrow and mention all this. It's super helpful knowing I should expect a few days' wait for the part, I'll try to be patient! Good tip about checking the sensor itself too, I'll make sure they take a look at that while they're working on it. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, it's made me feel much better about getting this sorted out. This info will definitely save me some diagnostic time at the shop. Thanks again for all your help!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2017 BMW X1 last year (I have some experience working on BMWs, including my previous 3 Series). Those TPMS warnings can be super annoying! In my case, the tire pressure sensor battery was dead. Took it to my trusted workshop and they confirmed it wasn't just a simple tire pressure issue. They had to replace the sensor battery. Total bill came to about 280 Euro, but it fixed the problem completely. No more warnings since then. Could you share more details about your X2? Like how long has this warning been showing up, and have you noticed if it's linked to a specific tire? Also, when was the last time you had your tires serviced? This info would help me understand if you're dealing with the same issue I had.
