Hey! Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It's really helpful to know I'm not alone with this issue. My symptoms sound exactly like what you described, especially that part about the battery drain. Just wondering, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole repair? Also, has everything been working smoothly since they fixed it, or have you noticed any other quirks? Really appreciate your advice about finding someone who knows BMW systems. Definitely don't want to mess around with this any more than I have to!

Good news, I can give you an update! Got it fixed by a BMW specialist and it was actually way cheaper than I expected. Only paid 95 € to repair a faulty cable connection in the door handle, turns out we didn't need to replace the whole unit like in my previous repair. Everything's working perfectly now, no more dashboard warnings, keyless entry is smooth as butter, and the battery's no longer draining. Such a relief! It's been about three weeks since the fix and zero issues so far. Honestly, finding that BMW specialist made all the difference. They knew exactly what to look for and fixed it right the first time. Much better than my previous experience where they just kept throwing parts at the problem. Let me know how yours turns out! Always interested to hear if others have similar experiences with these quirky comfort access systems. Cheers

Hey! Just wanted to update you, I took your advice and found a specialist who really knew their stuff! They diagnosed the issue quickly and found it was actually quite similar to your first problem, corroded connections in the door handle unit. Had it fixed last week and what a difference! No more light show on my dashboard, keyless entry works perfectly, and my battery's staying healthy. The mechanic was great, explained everything clearly and even showed me the corroded parts. Cost me a bit more than yours since they had to replace the whole handle unit, but totally worth it to have it done right. Been running smoothly for a week now, and I'm just happy to have my car back to normal. Really appreciate your help pointing me in the right direction. Sometimes it just takes finding the right mechanic for the job!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2018 BMW X1 last month. The keyless system went haywire and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Turned out the door handle sensor module had corroded connections, plus a failing comfort access antenna in the handle. Took it to the shop and they found the wiring harness near the door handle was damaged, allowing moisture to get in. They had to replace the handle unit and reseal everything properly. Not a quick fix, they needed to remove the door panel and reprogram the new module. This is actually a serious issue since it can drain your battery completely and leave you stranded. In my case, it also started affecting the central locking system. Make sure whoever works on it knows BMW electronics well, these comfort access systems are pretty complex and need proper diagnostic tools to fix right. Hope this helps!
