BMW X5 Drivetrain Malfunction After Valve Cover Replacement
Hello everyone, I own a 2014 BMW X5 with a gasoline engine and 101,001 km on the odometer. Recently, I replaced the valve cover with a new valve cover gasket kit. After this replacement, the check engine light turned on, and I received a 'Drivetrain malfunction' error. Could anyone provide insights into what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Double-check that all electrical connectors and vacuum lines around the valve cover area are properly reconnected and secure. A loose or disconnected sensor could trigger the check engine light and drivetrain malfunction error. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.
