Thanks for sharing your experience! I've got the gasoline variant with 31286 KM on the clock. My issue started right after my latest service, which makes me think it might be related to some recent work done. The flickering began gradually but got worse over the past week. Haven't noticed any other electrical issues though, everything else seems to work fine. The error codes show up consistently now, especially after startup. Really hoping it's just the display unit like in your case. I'm still under warranty, so I guess I should probably take it to the dealer rather than an independent shop? Would love to hear if anyone else has warranty experience with similar issues.

Hey again! Oh wow, the timing of your issue starting after the service is interesting, definitely different from my case. When my X3 had problems, it just started acting up out of nowhere, not connected to any service work. Since you're still under warranty, absolutely take it to the dealer! That's a no-brainer. You're smart to think of that, wish I had still been under warranty when my display went bad. Would've saved me that 725 Euro I mentioned before! In my case, I had no choice but to use an independent shop since my warranty had expired. But with your car being a 2022 model and the problems starting right after service, the dealer should handle this. They might even find that something got disconnected or damaged during the service work. Quick tip though, make sure to document everything. Take videos of the flickering and when the system acts up. I learned this the hard way with my X3 because these issues can sometimes be intermittent. Also, write down exactly when it started happening after the service. This kind of documentation really helps speed things up. Let us know what the dealer says! I'm really curious if it turns out to be the same display unit issue I had or if it's service-related.

Thanks so much for all that helpful advice! You're absolutely right about documenting everything, I've already started recording videos of the flickering screen and noting down when the errors appear. Smart thinking there! I've actually just booked an appointment with the dealer for next week. Your experience with the display unit issue is super helpful to know about, at least I have some idea of what it might be, even though mine started after the service. I'm really hoping they can figure it out quickly, especially since you mentioned it took three days to fix yours. I'll definitely update the thread once I get it checked out at the dealer. Maybe my experience can help someone else down the line too. Thanks again for taking the time to share your story and for the documentation tip. Really appreciate all the detailed help!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2020 BMW X3. The symptoms were almost identical, flickering display and audio problems. After dealing with it for a couple weeks, I took it to my regular workshop. Turned out the display unit itself was defective and needed replacement. The whole repair, including parts and labor, cost me around 725 Euro. The mechanics had to order a specific part and it took about 3 days to get it fixed, but it's been working perfectly since then. Before I share more details about my repair experience, what engine variant do you have in your X5, and have you noticed any other electrical issues? Also, when did these problems start appearing? This info would help understand if you're dealing with the same thing I had. Hope we can help you sort this out!
