Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the X6 M! That's really helpful info about the connector issue. I'll definitely look into that with mine. Would you mind sharing what the total repair cost was? Also curious if you've had any other problems with the climate system since they fixed it? Looking back at your description, sounds pretty similar to what I'm experiencing. Good to know it wasn't anything too major in your case.

Hey again! Happy to help and give you an update on my X6 M situation. I actually just got it sorted at the mechanic, the repair cost me 95 € to fix that troublesome cable and plug connection. Really wasn't too bad considering what I was worried it might be! Since getting it fixed, the rear ventilation flap has been working perfectly, no more error codes or issues at all. To answer your question about other climate system problems, nope, absolutely nothing since the repair. The whole system's been running smooth as silk. The AC's nice and cold, all the controls respond instantly, and those annoying error messages are gone. Honestly, I'm kicking myself for not getting it checked sooner! Hope this helps give you a better idea of what you might be looking at cost-wise. From what you've described, sounds exactly like what I dealt with. Get it sorted sooner rather than later, it's a pretty straightforward fix when you find the right mechanic who knows what they're doing. Let me know how it goes when you get yours looked at!

Thanks for all the detailed info! Just got back from a new mechanic I found, and you were spot on. Had almost the exact same issue, corroded wiring in the connector. Total bill came to around 120 since they had to replace a couple more bits, but honestly, I'm just relieved it wasn't something worse. Funny thing is, while I was there, the mechanic showed me the damaged connector. You could actually see where moisture had gotten in and caused the corrosion. He cleaned everything up, replaced the bad parts, and recalibrated the system. The whole job took about 4 hours, but what a difference! AC's blowing cold again, and those rear controls are working perfectly. Really appreciate you sharing your experience, helped me feel more confident about getting it sorted. Would've probably spent ages worrying about it otherwise. Now I can finally enjoy driving without sweating bullets!

My 2020 BMW X6 M had a similar issue last month. The climate control system showed similar symptoms, no cooling and unresponsive controls. Turned out to be a faulty connection between the control module and the ventilation flap actuator. At the garage, they diagnosed it with proper diagnostic tools and found that a few wires had corroded at the connector, causing intermittent communication issues. It wasn't a major repair, they had to clean the connections, replace one damaged wire, and reseal the connector properly. The system needed recalibration after the fix. Not a serious issue overall, but definitely something that needs proper diagnosis and repair to prevent potential damage to the climate control module. Make sure you find a garage with proper BMW diagnostic equipment and experience with these systems. The fix took about 3 hours, and everything's been working perfectly since then. Hope this helps with your situation.
