Bolt Terminal 15 Ignition Error

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2023 Chevrolet Bolt (electric). It's got 177471 km on it. I'm getting an error that says "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" and the car won't start. The error memory says the likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection. Any ideas where to start looking? I was thinking ignition switch or maybe a relay?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Chevrolet Bolt owner experienced a "Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted" error, preventing the car from starting. The error suggested a defective cable or plug connection as the likely cause. Suggestions included checking the fuse box for blown fuses and inspecting the wiring harness around the ignition switch area for damage. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by fixing a defective plug connection at a workshop.

Sounds frustrating. I had something similar happen in my old 2012 Volvo C30. 'Terminal 15' refers to the switched positive power supply that's active when the ignition is on. Since it's electric, you don't have a traditional 'ignition', but the principle is the same - something's not telling the car it's okay to power up. Did you check the fuse box? Sometimes it's just a blown fuse. Also, inspect the wiring harness around the 'ignition switch' area (the power button in your Bolt) for any obvious damage.

Thanks! Where exactly is the fuse box located on the Bolt? And when you say 'wiring harness', are you talking about the big bundle of wires going into that whole area, or something specific?

Fuse box location should be in your owner's manual - usually under the hood or inside the cabin. The wiring harness is indeed the big bundle. Look closely for any chafing, cuts, or corrosion. If you aren't comfortable digging around in there, maybe take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was a defective plug connection. Workshop fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the help!
