Besides scanning the error codes, I've visually inspected the wiring around the hood latch and impact sensors. Everything looks okay. Did you manage to pinpoint the exact cause of your problem? Any specific sensors or connections I should be zeroing in on?

In my case, the underlying cause was determined to be a malfunctioning impact sensor. Given the complexities involved, it is advisable to seek professional assistance from a qualified workshop to accurately diagnose and rectify the problem. It is possible that the acceleration sensor is defective, and the eventual repair cost might be around 315€.

Knowing that you had a similar issue and that it might be the impact sensor gives me a solid starting point. I ended up taking it to a shop, and you were spot on – faulty impact sensor! New sensor installed, error codes cleared, and everything's back to normal. You saved me a ton of guesswork and probably a lot of money. Cheers!

I understand your frustration. I have a Peugeot Boxer as well, and I experienced a similar issue not too long ago. I received the 'Active hood fault' message, and the airbag warning light illuminated on my dashboard. However, the spring actuators were not triggered in my instance. What diagnostic steps have you undertaken thus far?
