Boxer low brake fluid spongy pedal

Whoa, strange brake pedal feel is never good! Low fluid with that kind of mileage on your Boxer, yeah, could be the brakes. My old beater did the same thing last year, scared the pants off me! I ended up almost rear-ending someone at a stop light because the pedal went straight to the floor. Get a brake inspection ASAP; could be dangerous. Was the brake feel spongy or more hard-to-press?

Spongy is bad. I'd say just take it straight to a shop and get a proper diagnosis, hydraulic brakes are pretty complicated and important. Sounds like the fluid is probably contaminated, but better safe than sorry! They'll check everything over, brake lines and all.

Took the Boxer to a certified Peugeot service center. Front brake pads and rotors were severely worn, which, with contaminated brake fluid, was causing the symptoms. Total repair cost, including parts, labor, and a complete brake fluid flush, came to 480€.
