Boxer Undervoltage Error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot Boxer with an electric engine is experiencing an undervoltage error, leading to weak starts, system failures, and dimming headlights. The battery appears weak even after charging, and the issue persists despite cleaning the battery terminals. A suggestion was made to perform a load test on the battery, as a simple voltage reading may not reflect its true condition. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the defective battery, which was confirmed by a mechanic.

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't load tested the battery yet, just surface voltage. Good point. No recent electrical mods either. What was your fix when you had the issue? Was it just a battery replacement, or something more sinister?

In my case, a load test confirmed the battery was toast. Replacing it resolved the issue. Before rushing out to buy a new battery, it would be advisable to bring the vehicle to a workshop to check the voltage regulator of the generator.

A local mechanic confirmed the battery was heavily discharged and defective, just like you suspected. I've replaced it with a new one. Total cost: 290€ Thanks a lot for the help!

I had a similar issue with my Peugeot Boxer. Undervoltage problems in these vans can be tricky. Have you load tested the battery? A multimeter voltage reading isn't always indicative of true battery health. Also, were there any recent modifications to the electrical system done?
