BR V ABS Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda BR-V is experiencing an ABS fault, indicated by the ABS lamp being on and an error code for the lateral acceleration sensor. The diagnostic scan suggests a defective control unit, specifically pointing to the yaw rate sensor within the ABS control module. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the ABS control module, which is recommended as the likely solution.

The fault happens sometimes, no matter how I'm driving. My diagnostic equipment is pointing to the yaw rate sensor within the ABS control module. Your experience sounds similar. Can you tell me more about what happened and how it was fixed?

Yeah, intermittent is the word! For me, it started after hitting a massive pothole. The workshop guys told me it was the lateral acceleration sensor in the ABS unit, like yours. They said the module itself was wonky. Sadly, you'll probably need to get it checked at a shop; it's beyond my basic toolbox skills. Safety first!

I appreciate the confirmation. What you're saying reinforces what I thought. It looks like I'll need a new ABS control module. It's going to cost around 1000€.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I have a BR-V as well, and I had something similar happen last year. ABS light, stability control acting up – the whole nine yards. It felt like driving on ice sometimes. Did it happen after a particularly hard turn, or did it just pop up randomly?
