BR V Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda BR-V diesel with 182,591 km is experiencing engine stalling at idle and a check engine light. The issue is suspected to be related to the emission system, specifically the tank ventilation valve and possibly clogged hoses. After investigation, it was confirmed that the tank ventilation valve was faulty due to clogged hoses. Replacing the valve and cleaning the hoses resolved the problem.

Gas cap's on tight. EVAP system… what was it exactly? Just a sensor or something bigger? I'm trying to avoid taking apart the whole emission system if I can!

I didn't dig too deep myself. The symptoms were similar enough that I took it to a shop. They sorted it pretty quickly. Probably best to get it diagnosed properly.

I was on the right track. The tank ventilation valve was faulty, probably from clogged hoses. New valve and hose cleaning, and it's running great again! Cost me about 175€, not as bad as I feared!

I have a BR-V too, and had similar symptoms: check engine light and stalling. Mine was EVAP system related, but I'm not sure about the ventilation valve. Did you check your gas cap?
