BR V Windshield Wipers Failure
Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2016 Honda BR-V diesel stopped working, with the rain sensor also non-functional and an error stored in the car's memory. Initial checks showed the fuses were fine, leading to suspicion of either the wiper switch or motor. However, the issue was identified as a defective plug connection to the wiper motor, which was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the cable and plug connection specifically. Where exactly is that located? Is it easy to get to, or do I need to remove a bunch of stuff to see it?

Yes, that was my problem as well. I couldn't fix it myself. If you're not comfortable digging around, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it quickly to rule out issues with the switch or the motor.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a defective plug connection! They fixed it for 95€, so not too bad. Glad it wasn't the motor or the switch. Cheers!

I also drive a BR-V, and I had a similar issue a while back. The wipers just quit. Have you checked the cable and plug connection that goes to the wiper motor? I remember reading somewhere that a loose connection can cause those exact symptoms.
