BR V Windshield Wipers Failure

Hey, I'm having a weird problem with my 2016 Honda BR-V diesel. The windshield wipers just stopped working! Mileage is around 28k km. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. The rain sensor doesn't seem to be doing anything either. The wipers are just dead. And to top it off, the car threw an error that's now stored in the memory. Could it be the wiper switch itself or maybe the wiper motor? Any ideas before I start tearing apart the steering column?

I also drive a BR-V, and I had a similar issue a while back. The wipers just quit. Have you checked the cable and plug connection that goes to the wiper motor? I remember reading somewhere that a loose connection can cause those exact symptoms.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the cable and plug connection specifically. Where exactly is that located? Is it easy to get to, or do I need to remove a bunch of stuff to see it?

Yes, that was my problem as well. I couldn't fix it myself. If you're not comfortable digging around, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it quickly to rule out issues with the switch or the motor.
