Bravo Overheating Electric Fan Cable

My 2010 Fiat Bravo diesel is overheating. I suspect the electric fan. Could it be a defective cable or plug? It has 211401 km. Anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

The 2010 Fiat Bravo diesel is experiencing overheating issues, suspected to be related to the electric fan. Possible causes include a defective cable or plug, a faulty fan relay, or a malfunctioning temperature sensor. The solution involved checking these components, leading to the discovery of a bad cable connection to the electric fan, which was fixed at a workshop.

Overheating can be from electric fan problems. Before blaming the fan motor, check the fan relay and the temperature sensor that triggers the fan. They often fail and seem like the fan.

Thanks! I didn't closely check the relay or sensor. Can you explain how to check the temperature sensor, based on your experience?

Given the symptoms, and after checking both parts, it sounds like more investigation is needed. Maybe get help from a good workshop.

Thanks, I took it to a workshop, and it was a bad cable connection to the electric fan. It cost 95€ to fix. Thanks for the help!
