Brio knock sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda Brio is experiencing issues with the check engine light being on, increased fuel consumption, and uneven idling, leading to the suspicion of a defective knock sensor. The problem was confirmed by scanning for error codes, which pointed to the knock sensor circuit. Cleaning the contacts did not resolve the issue, and it was suggested to have the sensor replaced by a professional.

The check engine light is constantly on. I haven't scanned for error codes yet, I will do that. Is there anything specific I should be looking for regarding the error codes?

Okay, constant light is a strong indicator. When I had the problem, the error code specifically pointed to the knock sensor circuit. I tried cleaning the contacts, but it didn't solve the problem permanently. Ultimately, I had to get it replaced at the workshop, it's a fiddly job. Probably best to get it checked by a professional.

I appreciate the advice. I scanned for error codes, and it confirms the knock sensor issue. Given your experience, I will take it to a workshop. I expect the repair to be around 95€. Thank you for your help!

Hey! I had a similar issue with my Brio. The symptoms sound very familiar. Was the check engine light constantly on, or did it come and go? Have you scanned for any error codes? That would help confirm the knock sensor issue.
