Brio rain light sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda Brio owner reported issues with the rain-light sensor, affecting automatic wipers, headlight control, and speedometer dimming. A possible cause suggested was bubbles forming under the gel pad on the windshield where the sensor is located. After checking with a workshop, it was confirmed that the bubbles were indeed the problem, and replacing the sensor and gel pad resolved the issues.

Bubbles under the gel pad? I haven't checked that specifically. Could that really cause all these issues with the auto sensor, headlight control, and even the speedometer dimming?

Yep, in my case it was exactly that. The bubbles mess with the sensor's ability to read light properly. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out. It's a common issue, apparently.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on. They confirmed bubbles under the gel pad were the issue. They replaced the sensor and the gel pad. Cost me 62€. Everything's working perfectly now!

Hey, I've got a Brio too, and your problems sound very familiar. I had something similar happening with mine last year. Is it possibly a bubble forming under the gel pad on the windshield where the sensor sits?
