C Klasse Automatic Transmission Implausible Shifting Behavior

I'm having trouble with my 2007 Mercedes C Klasse diesel, which has about 191133 km on it. I think the automatic transmission oil might be worn. The transmission shifts strangely, the transmission light is on, the shift patterns are off, and it sometimes goes into emergency mode. I'm wondering if undervoltage is the problem. Has anyone else had this happen, and what did you do to figure it out?

I had a similar problem with my C Klasse. The automatic transmission was acting up. Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition? A transmission flush and oil change might fix it. It sounds like it's affecting transmission performance. A car transmission issue like this could get expensive if you ignore it.

Thanks for the input. After the transmission flush and oil change, did you notice any improvement in how the transmission performed right away? Also, can you tell me more about the specific symptoms you had before the transmission flush?

Yes, the improvement was noticeable almost immediately after the transmission flush. Before, the car transmission would sometimes hesitate when shifting gears, especially between 2nd and 3rd. Considering your symptoms and the emergency mode, I would suggest consulting a workshop to confirm the undervoltage and rule out any mechanical issues before doing a transmission flush.

I appreciate the advice. I took the car to a workshop as suggested. It turned out the undervoltage was affecting the transmission control unit. A transmission flush and oil replacement, costing 240€, fixed the problem. The automatic transmission now shifts smoothly.
