C Klasse Diesel Jerking and Power Loss

Jerking, loss of power, and check engine light sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my C Klasse. Did you check the intake manifold? A leak there can cause all sorts of problems with manifold pressure and air intake. Engine misfire is a likely result. Might be worth a look before you commit to that repair cost.

The symptoms were pretty much the same. Jerky acceleration, check engine light on, rough idle. I didn't have the equipment to diagnose it myself so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the intake manifold leaking. I'd suggest doing the same, just to be sure.
