Thanks for the insight. With the wiring harness, were there any specific weak points you saw on your BMW?

On my BMW, the issue was a corroded connector near the sensor itself. Because your Citroen is relatively new, corrosion is less likely, but still worth a check. If you're not comfortable with electrical work, I'd suggest a workshop. It shouldn't cost too much.

I took your advice and brought the car to a workshop. Replacing a faulty connector to the AUC sensor fixed it. The final cost was 95€. Everything works now.

That's a tricky one. I had a similar problem with my BMW 3 series. The climate control went haywire, and it turned out to be a faulty odor sensor. Check the wiring harness and connections to the AUC sensor. A visual inspection might reveal corrosion or damage.
