C1 Electronic Parking Brake Fault

Hi, I have a 2007 Citroen C1, diesel engine. My electronic parking brake is playing up. The handbrake isn't working, there's an error stored, and the warning light's on the dash. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my C1. Is the error code pointing to the brake calliper? Mine was the electric motor in the calliper giving up. Pretty common, apparently.

Yeah, the error code does point to the calliper motor. Was it a big job to fix?

I wouldn't call it 'big' exactly, but fiddly. I ended up taking mine to a garage. I'm not comfortable messing with brakes, especially with the electronic stuff. Cost me about 505€, parts and labour. Vehicle safety first, right?
