C1 seat heater malfunction

Yeah, I had something similar happen in my C1. Does the light on the switch come on, but you just don't feel any heat? If so, it is likely the heating element. Did you use a multimeter to check the thermal sensor?

The light does come on, yes. I haven't checked the thermal sensor, no multimeter available. Was your problem also the heating mat?

Yep, same symptoms. Light on, no heat. I tried to fix it myself, but gave up and took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the heating mat. Probably best to get it properly diagnosed to be sure though, before replacing parts.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll take it to a workshop and have them check it out. They quoted me around 390€ for a new mat and fitting, so that seems likely.
