C1 tire pressure sensor fault

I'm experiencing a peculiar issue with my 2006 Citroen C1 diesel. At 168568 km, the tire pressure monitoring system is reporting 'Tire pressure too low' with an error message on the speedometer. Diagnostic check reveals an error stored in the memory, but a manual tire check shows the tire pressures are normal. Could this be a sensor malfunction, potentially due to a depleted battery?

Hey there! I've got a C1 too, and that sounds super familiar. I had almost the exact same thing happen last year. Did it start happening after the weather got colder, maybe?

Interesting. Indeed, the issue commenced with the recent drop in temperature. Was the root cause in your case also attributed to the sensor, or was there another underlying factor?

Yep, pretty sure it's the sensor. Just bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They'll sort it out, probably just a dead battery in the sensor. No biggie!

Thank you! Following your suggestion, I consulted a workshop. The diagnosis confirmed a faulty tire pressure sensor with depleted battery, and replacement was carried out at a cost of 280€. Issue resolved!
