C1 Transmission Fault

Alright, I'm tearing my hair out! My 2006 Citroen C1 diesel (129763 km) is throwing a hissy fit. The transmission indicator and check engine lights are on, and the gearbox has gone into emergency mode. It won't shift properly, slips like crazy, and makes a horrible grinding noise when it tries to change gears. I scanned it and it's throwing a code related to the radiator oil pressure. Could a dodgy cable or plug connection be the culprit? Anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my C1, though thankfully a bit later than yours. Transmission light, limp mode... the whole nine yards. Radiator oil pressure...hmmm... Was coolant leaking?

Coolant leak...not that I've noticed, no. Levels seem okay. Where was your leak?

Right, if you see no coolant leak, you should check the cable or plug connection. If this does not help it's difficult to diagnose it yourself. Probably it's best to bring it to the workshop.

I appreciate the advice. I'll check the wiring, but you're probably right - workshop time. It was a faulty sensor and some corroded wiring. Cost me 95€ all in. Sorted!
