C2 power window failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows of a 2006 Citroen C2 diesel stopped working, and initial checks showed the fuses were fine, but an OBD2 scan indicated an error related to the window regulator. The issue could be due to a faulty window regulator or a defective window control switch. It was suggested to inspect the wiring harness for damage or loose connections. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a defective power window switch, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Good point! I didn't check the wiring harness yet. Where exactly is it located, and what should I be looking for specifically? Any common failure points I should focus on?

The harness is usually inside the door panel, connected directly to the switch. Look for frayed wires, corrosion, or loose connectors. If you're not comfortable disassembling the door, it might be best to have a mechanic take a look before you accidentally cause more damage. Probably a defective power window switch, and that repair would be around 200€.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll take it to a trusted workshop. You were right about the switch, they confirmed that it was defective and replaced it. Everything's working smoothly again now.

Faulty window regulators are common, but the error code might also indicate a problem with the switch. Have you tried checking the wiring harness going to the window switch for any obvious damage or loose connections?
