Regarding your Astra, what steps did you take to diagnose the issue? Did you try anything to address the 'fuel trim' or 'adaptation' error before going to a professional?

Honestly, after poking around for a bit and finding nothing obvious, I just took it straight to my local garage. Didn't want to mess anything up worse by trying to fix it myself. They ran some proper tests and figured out it was a faulty injector. Best bet is probably getting it checked out properly.

Took it to a professional. Diagnosis confirmed a defective injector, needed replacement, cost 515€.

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same thing happen with my old Opel Astra a few years back. Rough running, check engine light, the whole nine yards. The error code was something similar about fuel trim or adaptation, if I remember right. Did you try checking the fuel injectors or anything yourself?
