C4 fault memory lock active

My 2006 Citroen C4 diesel keeps throwing up a "fault memory lock active" message. It only says that there's an error stored in the error memory. Anyone seen this before? Mileage is at 183783 km. I'm wondering if it's something serious.

I have a C4 too, and I had a similar problem a while back. Could be due to undervoltage in the system, which can cause all sorts of weird errors in the car's electronics.

Undervoltage, huh? Interesting. So, what exactly did you do to fix it? Was it a simple fix, or did you have to dive deep into the car's brain?

In my case, undervoltage was indeed the culprit. I'd suggest getting the battery and charging system checked professionally. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, as automotive diagnostics can be tricky.

Cheers for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were spot on – undervoltage. They sorted it out for 240€. Thanks again for the help!
