Wiring harness, huh? I'm no mechanic, but I can poke around a bit. Was it visibly damaged, or did you need a multimeter to figure it out?

I didn't see anything obvious, and honestly, electrics aren't my strong suit. I took it to a workshop. They found a bad connection, and cleaned and re-seated it. The diagnosis said "Cable or plug connection of the component defective". All sorted now!

Cheers! Sounds like I'm heading to the shop too. They reckon about 95€ to fix it. Thanks for confirming I'm not going crazy.

I had a similar problem with my C5, but it wasn't the rain sensor. Have you checked the wiring harness and plug connections near the wiper switch and turn signal? That's where my issue was.
