C6 faulty injection system warning
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Citroen C6 diesel displayed a 'faulty injection system' warning, leading to higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, occasional stalling, and smoke during acceleration. The problem was suspected to be a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who had similar experiences, it was advised to have the vehicle checked professionally. The issue was confirmed to be a defective connection within the injection system, which was repaired, resolving the symptoms.

I have checked the air filter and did a visual inspection. Could you elaborate on your experience? Was the issue indeed related to the injection system, and did it present similarly?

Yeah, I think so. Honestly, I didn't mess with it too much myself. I just took it to a workshop. Best to get it checked out properly, I reckon.

I followed your advice and visited a workshop. The issue was a defective connection within the injection system, fixed for 95€. The car runs smoothly again. I appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar. I've got a C6 diesel as well, and those symptoms ring a bell. Reduced power and smoke were my clues. You checked the air filter and all that?
