Thanks for the quick reply! Regarding the oil viscosity, how can I check that properly without special tools? Is there a specific test I could do at home, or does it require a visit to a workshop?

Given the symptoms and potential severity, a workshop visit is advisable. While a basic visual inspection of the oil can sometimes reveal obvious thinning, a lab test is the only way to accurately assess viscosity. Continuing to run the engine with suspected low oil pressure could cause irreparable damage. The sounds confirm it.

Thanks a bunch for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and you were right! Turns out the oil pump was faulty, and it cost me 755€ to repair. Thankfully, the engine bearings seem okay for now. Appreciate the help!

Low oil pressure on a newer C6 like yours can be serious. The oil pump is a potential culprit, but the loud mechanical noises suggest possible engine bearing damage due to insufficient lubrication. Have you checked the oil viscosity and confirmed that the oil filter isn't clogged despite visual inspection?
