C70 AC Control Unit Fault

My 2007 Volvo C70 diesel is throwing a wobbler. I'm getting 'Error stored in the error memory' and an error message across the speedometer. The AC refuses to kick in too! I'm getting codes pointing to a defective temp sensor in the heat exchanger. Think it's the AC control unit having a meltdown. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar AC issue with my C70. Was the error pointing specifically to the heat exchanger temperature sensor, or were there other HVAC-related codes too? It could also be a refrigerant issue. Have you checked the pressure?

Yeah, the code is specifically for the heat exchanger temperature sensor. I haven't checked the refrigerant pressure, I don't have the gear. But given the error code and the other symptoms, does that sound like the same issue you had, with the control unit?

Yep, pretty much identical to what I experienced. Turned out to be the AC control unit throwing a hissy fit and needing replacement. Get it to a workshop to get it checked out!

Cheers, appreciate the confirmation! I was dreading that it might be something else. Garage quoted 980€ to sort it, so I'll get it booked in. Thanks!
