Thanks! I've mainly looked at the cooling grille because of debris. Can you explain how you diagnosed the issue in your BMW? What tests or observations led you to that?

After checking for leaks, which I didn't find, I took it to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and found the thermostat was stuck open, preventing the engine from warming up. They also pressure-tested the cooling system and found a blockage in the radiator. Given your symptoms and mileage, it might be worth getting a professional diagnosis. It could save time and headaches.

I appreciate your insights. I will schedule a comprehensive diagnostic assessment with a qualified technician. It needed a professional evaluation to determine the cause and fix it. It was a defective fuse related to thermal management and the total repair cost was 52€.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 series. The temperature gauge was all over the place, and the engine took forever to warm up, especially in colder weather. It ended up being a faulty thermostat and a clogged radiator. Have you checked those, or just the grille?
