C8 Brake Pedal Feedback

Thanks for your suggestions! I did check the brake fluid, and it seems okay. As for the brakes, they haven't been inspected in a while. Could undervoltage really mess with the hydraulic brakes like that? What should I do?

Undervoltage can definitely cause issues with modern braking systems, especially those that rely on electronic assistance. While it's difficult to diagnose remotely, the symptoms, mileage and your suspicion of undervoltage do suggest it might be a factor. Given the potential safety implications with hydraulic brakes, I'd strongly recommend taking it to a qualified workshop for a thorough inspection. They can check the electrical system, brake components, and potentially pinpoint the cause.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was indeed an undervoltage issue affecting the braking system. They sorted it out, and the final bill came to 240€. Thanks again!

Strange feedback from the brake pedal on a C8 could indicate a few things. It's interesting you mention voltage. Modern braking systems rely heavily on electronics. Have you checked your brake fluid level recently? Low voltage can sometimes affect the ABS and other systems, leading to unusual pedal feel. Also, when were the disc brakes, brake rotors or brake pads last inspected?
