C8 fuel rail pressure sensor fault
Summary of the thread
The 2003 Citroen C8 diesel exhibited issues with the engine check light, stalling at idle, and reduced power, attributed to a fault in the fuel rail pressure sensor signal. The problem was identified as a likely faulty pressure sensor. A suggestion to replace the sensor was made, which resolved the issue after the sensor was replaced.

Yep. It's pointing to a faulty signal from the rail pressure sensor. Did you also have a bad sensor, or was it something else like the fuel pump regulator?

Yep, that's the one I had! I tried cleaning the contacts but it didn't do anything for me. Just bite the bullet and replace the sensor. It fixed it, but honestly, unless you got the right tools, you better go to a workshop.

Thanks! I replaced the pressure sensor for 240€, and it seems to be fixed. Your advice really helped confirm what I thought and get it sorted.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my C8 a while back. Check engine light, stalling, the whole shebang. Was it throwing any specific codes related to fuel injection?
