Camry AC failure

My 2018 Toyota Camry, gasoline engine, AC has completely stopped working at 44254 km. I saw a warning light on the speedometer, then the AC stopped cooling and now won't switch on. I scanned and found an error code, but don't know what it is. Could this be a refrigerant leak or something else? Has anyone else seen this?

I have a Camry too. Your issue sounds like what happened to me last summer. My AC suddenly stopped blowing cold, and I had a warning light. Did you hear any strange noises from under the hood before it quit?

Thanks! No strange noises beforehand. It just gradually lost cooling power. What caused your AC problem? Was it expensive?

Sounds like my issue. It was the AC compressor. The dealership said the control unit was defective, which caused the compressor to fail. Get it diagnosed by a good mechanic. It wasn't cheap for me.
